Each year, Bastion Run Club presents the Arjan Gelling Award to graduating student runners in Nanaimo.

The award honours the memory of Arjan Gelling, a talented athlete and valued member of Bastion Run Club. Through this award, we recognize young runners who demonstrate dedication to the sport and their community.

The award is administered by the Nanaimo Ladysmith Schools Foundation and application information is distributed to students by the school district.
